The Specialist, Membership and Volunteer Services, will provide expert and timely support to assigned committees to ensure strong member and volunteer engagement and the effective implementation of key programs and services. The Specialist also provides strong assistance to ANNA Board Members and other volunteer leaders at external conferences and events.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cultivate strong, supportive, and collaborative relationships with the leadership and other key volunteers of all committee’s and task forces supported by this position.
- Provide planning and administrative support to these volunteers as requested.
- As staff lead, work closely with the relevant volunteer leaders and ANNA Membership and Communications staff to develop appropriate strategic plans to ensure strong engagement and effective implementation of key initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Director of Online Learning & Innovation and the Director, Strategic Communications to ensure the effective communications of all assigned initiatives, including but not limited to relevant webinars and podcasts.
- Travel to all external conferences and events to support board members and other volunteer leaders in educating attendees, building the brand, and recruiting potential members at the ANNA Exhibit booth. The Specialist will have the responsibility for setting up, taking down and shipping the exhibit booth, as well as ensuring it is appropriately stocked with relevant and branded materials and giveaways.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Undergraduate degree in business or a related field or the equivalent training and experience.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of customer or member experience, preferably in a non-profit association environment.
- Excellent project management, time management, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workloads to meet deadlines and follow projects through to completion.
- Must be team-oriented, with demonstrated project management, and client/liaison skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision and collaboratively with the larger AJJ, Inc. corporate team within the corporate structure.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products and the ability to learn specialized database systems, scheduling, and survey programs, as well as new systems and processes.
- Availability to participate in conference calls that may occur outside normal business hours.
- Ability to travel when/if necessary.
