The Manager, Membership and Volunteer Services will play a critical role in implementing both new and existing member benefits, programs and initiatives and will provide strategic guidance for future membership growth and engagement. This experienced individual will work collaboratively with the entire staff, volunteer leadership and various committees.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Outline and administer effective strategies for membership engagement, retention, and recruitment.
  • Work to effectively implement a newly created membership development and engagement plan, and provide strategic guidance for enhancements, new elements, and future growth.
  • Identify and analyze industry trends and data, the latest innovations in membership management, member feedback, and competitive landscapes to continuously improve membership offerings in support of strategic initiatives.
  • Cultivate strong, supportive, and collaborative relationships with ANNA volunteer leadership and work in partnership with a team of three in direct service to ANNA’s Members and Volunteers to:
    • Ensure the effective and timely delivery of all member benefits, programs, and initiatives, with a strong emphasis on recruitment and retention;
    • Collaborate with shared services on the marketing and accessibility of engagement and educational opportunities; and
    • Provide outstanding support for volunteers.
  • Manage volunteer recruiting application process via ANNA’s Website.
  • Oversee the Ambassador Program.
  • Oversee merchandise sales at National Meetings as directed by the Membership Committee.
  • Work on special projects and provide backup assistance to other team members as needed under the direction of the Executive Director and Chief of Staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Undergraduate degree in communications, marketing, business management or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of membership management experience within a non-profit association.
  • Minimum of 3 years of management or coaching experience in a leadership/supervisor capacity preferred.
  • Excellent project management, time management, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workloads to meet deadlines and follow projects through to completion.
  • Must be team-oriented, with demonstrated project management, and client/liaison skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision and collaboratively with the larger AJJ, Inc. corporate team within the corporate structure.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products and the ability to learn specialized database systems, scheduling, and survey programs, as well as new systems and processes.
  • Availability to participate in conference calls that may occur outside normal business hours.
  • Ability to travel when/if necessary.
